Physical Distancing - Physical distancing means limiting the number of people you come into close contact with and distancing from each other to reduce the opportunity for the virus to spread from person to person. Student Support

Laurentian Residence will continue to provide a high level support for all residents.  Supports and check ins may vary between physical and virtual depending on social distancing rules and guidelines from Ontario public health.   Support includes but is not limited to:  Roommate agreements and conflict resolution, cleanliness checks, wellness checks, and educational programming (guided by the Okanagan Charter).

Conduct

Should there be a need for Residence to meet with students to mediate a conflict or resolve a community conduct issue, Residence Life staff will arrange meetings in person or virtually with students.  Please be up to date with the addendum to the rules and regulations related to Covid-19.  If you would like to discuss an issue you are having, an incident, or problems in residence, you can contact your resident assistant or Joseph McGibbon (Residence Life Manager) at jmcgibbon@laurentian.ca to schedule a meeting.

Health Services -

Students living in residence can contact healthservices@laurentian.ca or (705) 673-6546 (direct line) or (705) 675-1151 ext.1067 to book a virtual visit with the doctor or the Nurse Practitioner.

Sudbury Campus

Laurentian Residence has five buildings, each with their own personality. Each building is different in size, layout, shape, and furnishings, and even within the same complex, your room may not look exactly like the room of fellow residents. That being said, you’ll have the opportunity to give it your own flare -- that’s part of the beauty of living independently!
