Clinical I

This 4-week practicum consists of hospital-based clinical activities requiring the application of the knowledge, skills and behaviours gained in previous courses. The course demonstrates the role of a Radiation Therapist, the impact of collaborative patient-centred care, and the journey of a cancer patient through the health care system. The course is delivered by The Michener Institute of Education at UHN by distance. PREREQ: Successful completion of all Year 2 winter term courses in the joint Michener-Laurentian Radiation Therapy Program. Successful completion with a minimum of 60% (C) in PHYS3506, PHYS3306 and PHYS3507. Successful completion of all mandatory health and safety requirements as identified by the program, and all hospital-mandated prerequisites, as applicable to each site. The course is only available to students enrolled in the joint Michener/Laurentian Radiation Therapy program. cr 3
